HOWDY!

I’m John Bencheck. I moved to Virginia from the Dallas, TX area in 2005 after completing a bachelor’s in Church Ministry. I’ve been a realtor here in Hampton Roads since 2012.

I got into real estate because a friend was just sure I’d be good at it. I love the attention to detail & the constant learning and growth it requires. The variety of aspects needed - marketing, research, customer service, graphic design, house-knowledge, planning, and out-of-the-box thinking - make it a good bit of fun!

My ADD and jack-of-all-trades attitude has been tempered by real life for sure, but I still enjoy creative problem-solving. I stay solution-focused when others get distracted, and this has proven over the years to be a winning attribute for my clients.

Outside of work, I keep things pretty simple. I love spending time with my family, especially if we can make it to the beach or Shenandoah. I enjoy board games and bonfires with friends. I probably should have more hobbies, but I will brag about becoming decently handy around the house.

I value knowledgeable customer service with a good bit of humor. I want you to walk away from buying or selling a house with me happy! it’s how I stay in business, and it fulfills me to take something as stressful as finding a new home and moving and make it easier, maybe a little fun.
